This former farmhouse in Koekelare, in the Westhoek, has been converted into a rural holiday home with a large garden and private woodland on 1 hectare. It's located right near the Koekelare forests and is cosily furnished for 12 people, with ample parking on the grounds. Perfect for families seeking peace, quiet and nature. Inside you'll find a large kitchen-diner with separate dining area and a comfortable sitting area. Two wood-burning stoves in the living and dining space provide warmth on cool evenings, and the underfloor heating keeps things comfortable all year round. Wood for the stoves is included in the price, as are wifi, electricity, water and heating. Bed, kitchen and bathroom linen are ready on arrival. The property has five bedrooms, each for two people, plus a mezzanine with a 160 cm sofa bed for two people. Some rooms have their own washbasin and shower, and there are shared bathrooms with bath. Everyone stays comfortably, with family or with a group of friends. The area is made for those wanting to get away from it all. From the farmhouse you can head straight into the Koekelare forests, and throughout the region there are plenty of cycling and walking opportunities. Many local restaurants are also within walking or cycling distance. The property is recognised by Tourism Flanders and carries the Westhoek label.

House rules
Animals are not allowed for hygiene reasons, except assistance dogs for people with a motor, hearing or visual impairment. An assistance animal must, however, be reported to the operator in advance. Water consumption is included in the rent, provided it is normal use. There is internet in the house; its use during the rental period is entirely the tenant's own responsibility. We expect waste to be sorted and the house to be left tidy. Extra cleaning will be deducted from the deposit. Waste is sorted: PMD (plastic, metal and drink cartons) in the blue bag, kitchen and general waste in the white bag. Glass, cardboard and paper are also sorted separately. By the back door there is an iron bin for collecting food scraps. The white rubbish bag goes out on Tuesday evening on the street side and is collected on Wednesday. Kitchen utensils must be cleaned and put back in an orderly way. Grease or frying fat must never be poured into the sink or the drains. Parking is provided. The house is intended for a maximum of 12 people. The number of people may not exceed the number stated in the contract, unless this was reported in advance. A supplement is charged if confetti or other messy party items are used. A washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron are provided.
