De Plezanten Hoek

Escape the crowds and come enjoy our characterful old Ardennes house for 13 guests, on the edge of the forest in the heart of the Semois Valley. The house is completely renovated and equipped with all modern comforts, but with its old soul intact. Birds wake you in the morning, the stream babbles beside the garden and with a bit of luck you will spot a kingfisher, deer or even a black stork. With us, dogs are truly welcome. We don't count them, we don't ask about breed or size, and they can come for free. The forest starts at the front door, so this is paradise for four-legged friends too. The house has 5 spacious bedrooms, spread across the first and second floors: 3 rooms with a double bed, 1 room with a double bed and a single bed, and 1 large room with four single beds. There is also a cot, 2 highchairs and a changing cushion. The spacious living room invites long evenings around the large dining table, playing games or relaxing in the sitting area after a day in nature. The kitchen is simple but fully equipped, with hob, oven, microwave, percolator, juicer, mixer and toaster, and sufficient crockery and cooking pots. There is no dishwasher. In the garden flows a lovely stream where children can endlessly build dams and play. While they romp about, you can enjoy the peace, the forest and the birdsong. Many walks start at the forest edge. The charming village of Bohan on the Semois is a 10-minute walk away, with a small supermarket, restaurants, cafés, a baker and butchers. You can canoe on the Semois there or visit Bouillon, Sedan and Charleville-Mézières.
