Glamping: sleep in a tent or lodge with a real bed
Glamping is camping without the hassle: a safari tent, lodge or yurt where the bed is already made. The level of comfort varies a lot, from a tent with shared washrooms to a lodge with its own bathroom.

Below you will find stays of the glamping type. Each page lists the features, the layout and the house rules, so you know what is and is not provided before you send a request.
What to look for
- Ask whether the washroom is private or shared. That is the biggest difference between two stays that look the same in the photos.
- Check whether there is heating and in which months the stay is open. A tent insulates differently from a house.
- Check whether bed linen and towels are included. At some stays you bring your own or ask for them separately.
- Ask how the kitchen is equipped. Sometimes there is only a hob or a shared kitchen, sometimes a fully fitted corner.
Frequently asked questions
Is glamping the same as camping?
You also sleep outside a normal house, but in a real bed and usually with more facilities than on a campsite. How much more depends on the stay and is listed under its features.
Is there electricity and hot water?
Most have both, but it is not a given. If the features do not say, ask the owner, especially if you travel with children or in the colder months.
Can I stay in rain or cold weather?
That depends on the build and the heating. Ask about insulation, heating and where you can sit indoors when the weather turns. The owner can answer these questions specifically.
Are children or pets allowed?
Each stay decides for itself. The house rules on the page say so. If it is not clear, ask in your request before you make plans.
