How we sort the properties
We show the properties that match what you enter: place, dates, number of people and filters. The rules below then decide the order.
Featured properties
Owners can buy a featured ribbon. If you search for a place, at most two featured properties can get the top two spots, if they match your search: at most 30 km from that place and not far too big for your group. Without a place, featured properties come first, then the properties listed only on Rentiday. With dates, they get no fixed spot. On the property card they carry the 'Featured' label. If there are more candidates than spots, they change every day.
The rest of the list
If you choose a number of people, bedrooms or bathrooms, the properties whose size fits best come first. If you search for a place, featured properties within 30 km of it then go ahead of the others, even if those are closer and also in a search on dates. Beyond 30 km, being featured gives no priority. Within each group the closest property comes first. When two are equal, how complete the listing is decides: reviews, photos, description, amenities, a filled-in price and a connected calendar. The owner's subscription and the 'verified' mark do not count. We charge no commission on bookings.
Sorting yourself
If you sort by price or newest first, only that choice applies and there are no fixed spots for featured properties. On the last-minute page, properties with a paid last-minute promotion come first, marked with a red ribbon, then the biggest discount.
