“ons Boerderijke” is in Eerde, a small village between Veghel, Sint-Oedenrode and Schijndel, on the edge of the Eerde woods. The Eerdse bergen, a sand ridge with centuries-old tree stumps, are close by, and there are plenty of walking and cycling routes. The house stands on the yard of a former dairy farm. The cows are gone, but the other animals keep the farm atmosphere alive. Children can ride along on the tractor with farmer Ad if they like. The holiday home is built in farmhouse style and is fully wheelchair accessible: no thresholds, wide sliding doors, an adapted toilet and a shower with a shower seat. It has its own driveway with plenty of parking, a large terrace with garden furniture and a play meadow. On the ground floor are a 53 m² living room with an open kitchen (dishwasher, oven, fridge-freezer, induction hob and microwave) and garden doors to the terrace, a bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with a washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a large open loft with mattresses and an air bed. The house sleeps ten. It is let at weekends, from Friday to Sunday or Monday. In August and around Christmas and New Year it is also available for a midweek or a full week, on request. From Tuesday to Thursday the house is used as a day centre for people with an intellectual disability.
