Each listing gives the number of sleeping places, the room layout and the house rules. That lets you check whether the group fits and whether there is space to sit or work together.
What to look for
- Compare the number of sleeping places with the number of actual beds. A sofa bed counts in the first, but not every colleague likes to sleep on one.
- Look at the space to sit or work together: a big living room, a dining table, a separate room. Ask about wifi and power sockets.
- Read the house rules on noise and parties. A group of eight or more gets noticed, especially in the evening.
- Ask about cleaning and a possible deposit, and who checks the house at the end.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a meeting room?
Only if the home has a large living room or a separate space. Look at the photos and ask. A projector or flipchart is usually not there, unless it says so.
How many real beds are there?
Sleeping places and beds are not the same. A sofa bed or camp bed sometimes counts. Ask how many separate beds and rooms there are, especially if colleagues would rather not share.
Are music or a party in the evening allowed?
That differs per home and is in the house rules. A group stands out more than a family. Ask from what time it must be quiet and whether neighbours live close by.
Who cleans the home?
It is listed under the costs and terms of the home. Sometimes the final clean is included, sometimes it is charged separately or you do it yourself. Ask beforehand with a large group.
