Mirabel

Mirabel is right in the middle of Hasselt, the heart of Limburg, a stone's throw from the centre and yet quiet enough to unwind. From here you are a quarter of an hour from the bustling city centre, where there is real life going on. The house looks out onto a pleasant neighbourhood street where you see the daily life of Hasselt residents go by. In the evenings you only hear the murmur of people walking to the centre, and during the day you feel a city that is not too big. With two bedrooms and four sleeping places, Mirabel is ideal for a family, or for friends and relatives who want to spend a weekend in Limburg together. You get all the advantages of a city, with enough space to feel at home. The region around Hasselt is gold for anyone who likes being outdoors. There are lovely walking routes through the Limburg hills, especially towards Genk and Zonhoven, past nature and picturesque villages. The Japanese Garden is a classic, especially in spring when everything is in bloom. If you are a bit more adventurous, you can easily cycle to Zelem or Kermt, where you will find a real countryside atmosphere and pleasant terraces. Hasselt itself is known for its jenever and the annual Jenever Festival. A few hours of looking around and tasting in the city centre is definitely worthwhile.
