Your holiday cottage, ideal for one to four people, is recently built and constructed with natural materials (timber frame, interior and exterior cladding in wood, insulated with straw bales and clay). The accommodation faces due south to take advantage of the sun's warmth in winter and the terrace is sheltered from summer sun and overheating by a roof terrace designed according to the sun's rotation. The décor is a combination of the Alps and the Ardennes: wood, touches of forest and the omnipresence of the Lord of our forests. You will find the stag on a tapestry, its antlers above the fireplace and in various objects. Some walls are in clay and others are covered with boards from old Austrian chalets and barns. You will find all the gentleness and beauty of natural and noble materials, all harmoniously matched in warm colours. Located in the Ardennes, in the authentic rural and wooded village of Vlessart, in the heart of the 7,000-hectare beech forest of the Grande Forêt d'Anlier. At the gateway to the Gaume and the recent national park of the Semois valley, where you can go kayaking. It is ideally situated for walking, cycling and horse-riding excursions directly from the cottage, with more than 50 routes over distances ranging from 2 to 50 km. Close to important historical sites such as Orval Abbey, the castles of Bouillon and Vianden, the Gallo-Roman museums and excavations at Arlon and Habay and the Battle of the Bulge museums at Bastogne. The stag's bellow is the call of the stags during the rutting season. You can hear it at Vlessart by opening the window after sunset from mid-September to mid-October.
