Yourte tatane stands in the garden of Noële and Herman, in Fromiée, a hamlet of Gerpinnes in Hainaut. A yurt is the traditional dwelling of the nomads of Central Asia: a round tent of wood and felt, without corners, with the light coming in through the dome. This one was built with an ethical and sustainable approach. Inside there are 38 m² for two people. A large double bed and a dining corner where you sit down at the table together. You will not be cooking in the yurt: there is no kitchenette, but you can order a meal. The wood stove heats the yurt and quite naturally becomes the centre of the evening. Bed linen and towels are provided, as are slippers, mosquito nets and a courtesy tray. The sanitary facilities match the simplicity of the place: a compost toilet and a water point to wash. There is no shower. The yurt has its own entrance and its own outdoor space, so you have the place entirely to yourselves. Parking is free, on your own spot in the street. Noële and Herman deliberately chose simplicity. Forget the modern world, the excessive comfort and the high-tech gadgets, as they put it themselves. People come here for the quiet and for a few days without distractions. And for anyone who wants more than a place to sleep: Herman organises the nature walks, Noële guides mindful walks where you become aware of the subtle details, and she also offers sound journeys with various types of instruments and meditative massage. You decide whether to join in or simply stay seated in the garden. In the morning, breakfast is ordered à la carte, continental or vegetarian. Around Gerpinnes several walking routes set off through the fields and woods of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse. The village is best known for the Marche Sainte-Rolende, the folk march held there every spring. Charleroi airport is 24 km away, Charleroi Expo 27 km, and the city itself is half an hour by car. The yurt is meant for two adults. Children, pets and stag or hen parties are not possible, and smoking is done outside.

Normas de la casa

Arrivée entre 16h et 18h, départ entre 8h et 11h. La yourte accueille deux adultes: les enfants ne sont pas admis. Les animaux ne sont pas acceptés. Il est interdit de fumer à l'intérieur. Les enterrements de vie de garçon ou de jeune fille et les fêtes du même genre ne sont pas autorisés. Le petit-déjeuner, continental ou végétarien, se commande à la carte. Le parking privé est gratuit.
