Avant Garde is a large holiday home in Watou, the brewery village near Poperinge in the Westhoek. It is built for groups: up to twenty people sleep here across three floors, with enough bathrooms to absorb the morning rush. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with its own bathroom, a cloakroom and a sitting room. The kitchen is equipped for numbers: a large oven, a microwave, two fridges, two dishwashers and an induction hob. Anyone who has cooked for twenty knows what that saves. There are also two coffee machines, one for ground coffee and one for beans, plus a toaster, a kettle, a deep fryer, a hand blender and a thermos. The first floor has a spacious room for two with a cot, a changing table and a private bathroom. Next to it are four rooms for two, sharing two bathrooms. The second floor holds another room for two with a bathroom, a sleeping loft with six single beds, and one more bathroom. Eight bedrooms and six bathrooms in total. All beds are made up on arrival, so there is no need to bring bed linen. Towels and tea towels you bring yourself. Outside there is a garden with a charcoal barbecue and a terrace looking onto the garden. Charcoal and firelighters are up to you. Private parking is free and there is a large garage. Water and electricity are included in the rent for normal use, which is no small matter with a group of twenty. Anyone who would rather not cook can order fresh meals in advance: lasagne bolognese or vol-au-vent, from ten people taking the same dish. Watou sits right on the French border, in the middle of the hop fields. The village is known for its brewery and for the art festival that lands there every summer. De Panne is twenty-seven kilometres away, Ostend forty-six, Lille forty. Poperinge and Ypres are close by, with the Great War heritage of the Westhoek within reach. The house is meant for families and groups of friends who want to stay together. Stag parties and student societies are not welcome, and smoking and pets are not allowed.

Normas de la casa

Roken is niet toegelaten in de woning. Huisdieren zijn niet toegelaten. De woning mag niet onderverhuurd worden. De woning is niet geschikt voor vrijgezellenfeesten of studentenverenigingen. Maximaal 20 personen. Alle bedden zijn opgemaakt bij aankomst. Handdoeken en keukenhanddoeken breng je zelf mee. Voor de barbecue voorzie je zelf houtskool en aanmaakblokjes. Water en elektriciteit zijn inbegrepen bij normaal verbruik.
