Vakantiehoeve Berckelaer is a spacious holiday farm for groups of up to 32 people in the peaceful Waasland, right amongst the fruit orchards. The farm is connected to a family fruit business, so you stay literally between the apple and pear orchards, which creates a unique and peaceful atmosphere. An oasis of peace and relaxation. There are eight bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin, and a large living space for dining and relaxing together. After a good walk you can unwind in the infrared sauna. On the large terrace you can enjoy an aperitif with a view of the orchards. There is plenty of room around the farm for children to play freely: bouncing on the trampoline, building sandcastles or playing a game of football. The farm is ideal for family weekends, groups of friends, team buildings and group holidays. With spacious rooms, a large living space and a garden, young and old can enjoy a relaxing weekend together. Friends cook together, dine cosily and enjoy the sauna or a walk in nature. Thanks to the peaceful location and large spaces, workshops and company events are possible too. The region around the farm is perfect for cycling along country roads, walking in woods and nature areas, visiting local fruit farms or taking a ride in a horse-drawn wagon. The Stropersbos, one of the largest wooded areas in East Flanders, is barely 3 km away and can be reached by an adjoining path. In the centre of Sint-Gillis-Waas and in Stekene (5 km) you will find supermarkets, bakers, butchers and a few restaurants. Anyone who enjoys art and culture can visit the community centre De Route or the Verbeke Foundation. Ghent, Antwerp and Sint-Niklaas are also a short distance away for a day trip.
