Château de Varennes Lès Mâcon

You stay in one of four guest rooms, each with a private bathroom with a bath, bathrobes and toiletries. The Chambre du Marquis and the Chambre du Petit Comte have a 160 x 200 bed, for one or two guests. The Chambre de la Marquise sleeps up to three and opens straight onto a small oratory. The Suite du Grand Duc has a double bed, two single beds, a child's bed and a baby cot, plus a gallery that serves as a separate sitting area. Breakfast is included, served every morning between 8.30 and 11 am on the terrace or in your room. In the main courtyard, the Au Château restaurant is open Thursday to Monday, for lunch and dinner. The park is made for walks, and at the end of the estate lies the lake of Varennes, where you can swim. The Voie Verte runs right past the castle. Cluny is less than 30 minutes by car, and the Roche de Solutré, the Château de Cormatin, Le Hameau Duboeuf and the Touroparc are all in the area. Mâcon, the Beaujolais and Lyon are easy to reach.
