A cosy wooden chalet on the banks of the Semois, in the middle of the forested Ardennes around Bohan-sur-Semois. Le Printemps is a quiet holiday park with 6 chalets, all with direct views of the river. Strix is named after the tawny owl that can be heard at night in the surrounding woods. Comfortable space for four people: a furnished living room with dining area and sitting area, a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, combination oven, fridge, toaster and coffee maker, and a separate bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The sunny terrace with garden furniture and parasol looks out over the Semois and the hill opposite. On the park there's a café-brasserie where you can enjoy a local beer or a simple meal in the evening, and there's a play area for the children. Wifi and central heating make Strix suitable for a stay in the low season or winter as well. Bohan-sur-Semois is a base for the Belgian Ardennes at its best. Canoeing on the Semois with descent to Vresse-sur-Semois, long walking routes through densely wooded valleys and mountain bike trails across the Ardennes plateau are right on your doorstep. Half an hour's drive away you'll find Bouillon with its medieval castle, or you can cross the border into French Sedan. Ideal for those looking for nature, peace and family comfort.
