La cabane de Freyr

The Freyr cabin is in Nassogne, a small village in the heart of the Ardennes, on the edge of the Grande Forêt de Saint-Hubert. It is a nature retreat for two people, designed for a romantic stay in complete peace. The outside recalls the cabins we dreamed of as children, while inside it has all the comforts of today. Around the house you mainly hear the birds and the rhythm of nature, with forests stretching in all directions. Here you wake up to sunlight instead of an alarm. Luxembourg City is about an hour's drive away: the crowds are far off, but easy to reach if you fancy a bit more life. The fireplace makes it cosy on cold evenings. Three large terraces are meant for barbecues, meals outdoors and looking out over the forest. Access to the barbecue cabin and to the nine-hole short golf course by the farm is included in the price. Freyr Castle is actually your neighbour, a magnificent Renaissance building you can walk through and where events are held regularly. The forest routes around Nassogne are really pleasant to explore, especially in autumn when everything turns orange and red. The village has that classic Ardennes atmosphere, with stone houses and quiet streets, and not far away you'll find restaurants serving local dishes such as game and regional cheeses. A place for couples who love peace and comfort and want to switch off their phone for a while.
