Hygge is a stately manor house from 1896 in Mariakerke, two hundred metres from the beach of Ostend. The name says it all: here everything revolves around being together, unwinding and enjoying the little things. The house sleeps twelve people, making it ideal for a family weekend or a stay with friends. On the ground floor you will find a spacious living room with a fireplace and a large television, a dining room that seats twelve, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, two fridges and both a Nespresso and a Senseo machine. The five bedrooms are spread across the upper floors and each has a king-size bed; the second floor also holds a loft with an extra queen-size bed. Three bathrooms, each with a shower and a bath, mean no one has to wait. In the basement there is a washing machine, a dryer and a table football for cosy evenings. Outside, a sheltered town garden awaits with a barbecue, a large dining table and a few lounge corners. The centrepiece is the wood-fired Finnish sauna, perfect for relaxing after a day by the sea. Pets are welcome and the final cleaning is included in the stay. The location is a real asset. The beach of Mariakerke is within walking distance, as is the tram that takes you to the centre of Ostend in a few minutes. Cycling enthusiasts head straight out into the polders and along the coastline. Shops, restaurants and the lively town centre are all close by. Hygge combines the calm of a warm home with everything the coast has to offer, all year round. A stay lasts a minimum of two nights.
