Château de la Barbière

This small Château is located in the French Ardennes in Tannay-le-Mont-Dieu with postcode 08390, just 30 km or so from the Belgian border. Very easy and straightforward to reach from Belgium and the Netherlands. It is a very beautiful area, rich in nature with forests and open fields. A really lovely region for walks and cycling, motorbike or car trips (including the abbey route). From the Château you also have a very beautiful view. There are 8 bedrooms for a total of 15 people, of which 7 rooms are for 2 people and 1 single room (there is also the possibility to use 2 additional rooms, for example when guests would like to have many individual rooms). There are 4 bathrooms with showers, washbasins and toilets. Each room also has its own washbasin. A room on the ground floor has its own walk-in shower and is wheelchair accessible. There is a dining room with space for 15 people as well, with an adjoining lounge with wood-burning stove. There is also a spacious chapel. This is accessible via an internal door from the Château. In the chapel there are a number of armchairs, a table football and dartboard. So it is an extra sitting and relaxation area. In the chapel there is good acoustics for playing music. Of course there is also a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and there is a washing machine. Next to the sitting room there is an adjoining large covered terrace. Next to the château there is an outbuilding/pavilion with a large games/party room with a table tennis table, pool table and stage. Further along in the garden there is a campfire area and a tennis court (can also be used for other sports or activities). A small supermarket with butcher's shop and 2 bakers are located in Le Chesne at about 8 km. In Le Chesne you will also find le Lac de Bairon, a large recreational lake with swimming and sports facilities and with 2 restaurants with lovely terraces. Possibility to hire sheets.
