Wim and Ellen welcome you with open arms to their own piece of land in Neerlinter. Stay in our luxury glamping tent next to the oak tree and among the fruit trees, in the orchard right behind our garden, about 100 m from the house. The bell tent is 100% cotton and waterproof, set right at the back of the plot, past the bamboo and the poolhouse. In the poolhouse you'll find a fridge with drinking water, and coffee and tea are ready in the tent. In the morning, we treat you to a fresh, local breakfast: we set out your breakfast basket on the covered terrace, and you simply let us know what time you'd like to eat. For the bathroom, you'll use a solar shower and a composting toilet (Biolan Simplett), a short walk from the tent. Want to make your stay even more relaxed? You can: a campfire or a mini barbecue with charcoal, a local beer from Wilderen brewery, a glass of wine, or a vintage Belgian lemonade. Everything is simply settled when you leave. Our glamping site sits on walking junction 140 and cycling junction 58, on the edge of the Grote Getevallei, one of Flanders' largest open valleys in the making. You'll walk and cycle through meadows, hedges, ponds and woods, and early in the morning you'll often spot deer and foxes. In wet weather the ground can get muddy, so sturdy shoes are no unnecessary luxury. Nearby, you can also visit Het Vinne in Zoutleeuw, Flanders' largest natural inland lake, with walking paths, boardwalks and lookout towers. Zoutleeuw itself has a surprisingly rich architectural heritage, with a gothic town hall and the Saint Leonard's Church on the main square. Wilderen brewery, the fruit town of Sint-Truiden and the see-through chapel in Borgloon are all within cycling or driving distance too. For those who'd rather eat out than cook: farm shop Chez Meme, a handful of cosy village cafés and a few fine restaurants in Tienen and Wilderen are all about a fifteen-minute drive away. Fancy more activity? Go open-air swimming at Lago Bloesembad in Sint-Truiden, De Plas in Rotselaar or Halve Maan in Diest, or head out on a Vespa through Hageland and Haspengouw. Wim mapped out his own favourite morning walk of 5.9 km and a more challenging 65.5 km bike route, all via the junctions nearby. Tienen, known for its sugar, and Borgloon, where a sea of fruit blossom colours the landscape in spring, are both just a short trip away. This way you can combine a night under canvas with a region full of history, nature and good food.

Regole della casa

Check-in vanaf 15:00, de tent is beschikbaar tot 11:00. Laat een seintje als je vertrekt, dan brengen we alles terug in orde voor de volgende gasten. Schoenen uit in de tent, en doe bij vertrek zowel de tent als het buitenzeil dicht. Laat weten hoe laat je wil ontbijten. De ontbijtmand staat klaar op het overdekt terras van het poolhouse; breng de mand nadien terug. Het toilet is een Biolan Simplett (scheiding van urine en feces): enkel wc-papier in de achterste bak, andere zaken zoals vochtige doekjes in het vuilbakje. Gebruik aan de waskom enkel de biologische zeep. Klein afval mag in de vuilnisbak in de tent. Groter afval mag gesorteerd (papier, PMD, GFT, rest) in de bakken naast het huis.
