For peace and quiet, you have come to the right place. Our long-fronted Flemish farmhouse, beside the Bosbeek and close to the village centre, is part of a protected village scene with a lovely view over the mill site. A walking garden with a pond and fruit trees, a bakehouse, a sculpture from the local art trail and of course the watermill itself: it is all right on the doorstep. Within walking distance you will find plenty of cafés and restaurants, as well as a bakery, a supermarket, a bus stop and a petrol station. The farm's former stable has been turned into a welcoming holiday home, looking out over the quiet little park, its pond and the old watermill. The apartment is on the ground floor. It has one large bedroom with wide windows and a separate bathroom with a shower and a double washbasin. Every room is yours alone. Plenty of light comes in, but the blackout is excellent and you have complete privacy. There is also a well-equipped kitchen with a table and four chairs, and a bright sitting area whose sofa converts into a bed for one adult or one to two children. A travel cot and a high chair are available free of charge on request. There are two terraces, so you can choose whichever suits the moment. Bicycles can be stored outside on enclosed grounds, and rain covers are provided. Our accommodation is officially classified with three stars by Toerisme Vlaanderen (385050). There is a great deal to do nearby. The gateway to the Hoge Kempen National Park is 1.5 km away, with bicycle hire, walking routes and places to eat. In the other direction, one kilometre away, lies the Waterschei spoil tip, the starting point for fine walks such as the cairn trail and a route to the Thor Park mining site, rich in Limburg's mining heritage. Pleasant cafés and restaurants are within walking distance, with more good addresses within three kilometres. Our place is centrally located: Sentower Park, the Genk karting track and Thor Park are all within six kilometres, and the motorway is easy to reach. Elaisa Wellness and the cinema are a ten-minute drive away. The next village along is home to Sentower Park, a paradise for horse lovers. The well-known cycle node network passes close by, at node 40. Bokrijk, the Horensbergdam and countless other sights complete the picture: cycling through water, cycling through the heath, and much more. Come and unwind.
