Tuin der Zinnen is a spacious holiday home in the rural hamlet of Bolk (Rijkevorsel), surrounded by the fields of the Noorderkempen. This was a bed and breakfast for years; the three spacious rooms are now let as one holiday stay for up to 12 guests, suited to a family weekend, a cycling week with friends or a quiet group getaway. The accommodation is on the first floor of the house, with its own entrance and fully separated from the hosts' private quarters. There are three cosy bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) and a TV; each room has four single beds. Thanks to the large windows, the rooms are bright throughout, with views over the surrounding fields. The central living area is the heart of the home: a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, a long table with twelve chairs, and a cosy sitting corner with board games and magazines. At the back of the garden there is a separate lounge space with its own small kitchen and fridge, perfect for an evening together away from the bedrooms. Outside, the garden is a real asset: a large, fenced garden with a playground and sandpit for children, a play meadow for football, a spacious terrace under a walnut tree, and a barbecue. Those who enjoy games will also find a table tennis table, a petanque court and a dartboard. There is ample parking and a bike shed. Tuin der Zinnen sits at the heart of the Noorderkempen, about 16 minutes from Turnhout and close to Hoogstraten and Merksplas. The area has plenty of walking and cycling routes through fields and woods, and horse-riding tourism is also available nearby. Guests who bring a horse can keep it in a stable box or out in the meadow. A nice detail: chickens and horses roam the grounds, and guests may occasionally spot a cat too. Guests' own pets are not allowed.
